Hi! I’m Laura Hicks.
I am a keep-it-simple kind of girl. I’m not a fan of complicated and drama.
I love nature.
I’m a wife and a mom to six energetic children ages 15-3, both biological, adopted, and foster.
As a foster parent, we’ve had seven long-term children and several short-term kiddos fill our house with love, joy, and sorrow.
I like bugs and frogs and spiders (as long as they don’t come in my house). I love to photograph them when I get stressed or feel edgy.
I’m in a book club—mainly because we eat and socialize. Most of the time the books are good, too.
I’m outgoing and love to talk…a lot.
I love, love, love to travel. I have visited 42 states and I plan to visit them all.
I love wearing jeans.
I have an extensive shoe collection, but I prefer bare feet, sandals, and boots. Most of my heels look as new as the day I bought them.
I am always hot. You can find me wearing a short sleeved shirt for most of the year.
I’m rarely, if ever, star struck.
I stay up too late.
My desk is a mess.
I love new ideas and new projects.
Back in college I was a cheerleader. I wasn’t great, but it was a ton of fun.
My friends are very important to me and I have a huge group of life long friends.
I think perfection is overrated and unattainable. Yet, I continually strive to be my personal best. Every. Single. Day.
